A. Order of service is an important element of your wedding stationery. Traditionally handed out to guests on arrival, its purpose is to provide guidance through each stage of your ceremony.
Q. What should I include in my booklet order of service?
A. What you choose to include depends entirely on the type of wedding you are having. However, an order of service will typically include a welcome message, the names of the happy couple and their close immediate family, a timeline of the day, details of the location for the wedding reception, complete words for hymns, readings and poems, pictures and a thank you message for all of the guests attending.

Q. What sizes can I print my booklet order of service on?
A. You can print your booklet order of service on A6, 140mm x 140mm, A5, or 210mm x 210mm.
Q. Does my booklet order of service have to be printed vertically?
A. No. We believe that you should have absolute freedom when it comes to designing your booklet order of service, whether that be vertically or horizontally (portrait or landscape) printed.
Q. What paper type can I pick for my booklet order of service?
A. We offer a wide range of paper options for our customers to choose from. They include; premium uncoated, silk, gloss, recycled uncoated, recycled silk and luxury paper.
Q. What are the different kinds of luxury papers that you have?
A. For our order of service booklets, we offer our customers 11 different types of luxury papers to choose from: Acquerello, Constellation Snow, Gesso, Laid, Nettuno, Mohawk Felt, Sirio Pearl Oyster, Sirio Pearl Polar Dawn, Sirio Pearl Rose Gold, Sirio Pearl Platinum and Splendorgel Avorio.
Q. What laminations can I pick for my booklet order of service?
A. We offer our customers one-side gloss, both sided gloss, one-sided matt and both sided matt. These laminated finishes are only available for the cover of your booklet. However, if you go with our luxury paper option, then you can’t have a lamination finish.
Q. Can I pick a different kind of paper and paperweight for the cover and inner pages for my booklet order of service?
A. Yes. If you wish for the cover of your booklet to have a heavier and more luxurious paper type than the inner page or to have everything the same, it’s entirely up to you!
Q. I’m not sure what specification is the best for my booklet order of service. Can you help me?
A. Of course. At DigitalPrinting.co.uk, we recommend that you choose Gesso luxury paper 250gsm, no lamination for the cover of your booklet. For the inner pages, we also suggest luxury paper but a lighter weight of 140gsm and no lamination.
Q. Do I need to include bleed and crop marks onto my artwork?
A. Yes. It’s really important that you include the bleed and crop marks to your artwork in a Print-Ready PDF file. At least a 3mm bleed on all of the edges of your artwork should be applied. For more information check out our Bleed Explained guide.
Q. Do I need to adhere to any margins when designing my order of service booklets?
A. Yes. Please make sure you allow for a 5mm ‘Safe Area’ from the edges of your artwork. If you are unsure how to set up your artwork and the size that you are able to work with, then you can view our free template guides to help you.
Q. I’m struggling with the layout of my artwork. Can Digital Printing help me?

Q. Will I need to supply my fonts with my artwork?
A. No. If you have correctly submitted to us a Print-Ready PDF then your fonts should already be embedded in the document. However, sometimes we may request the fonts if the file you have supplied to us is in another format. Learn more about Print-Ready PDFs on our support page.
Q. How do I upload my artwork to Digital Printing?
A. Before you upload your artwork, make sure that it is <a href="/support/what-is-print-ready-pdf/" target="_new">Print-Ready</a> by double-checking over <strong><a href="/support/what-is-print-ready-pdf/" target="_new">this checklist</a></strong> we have made for you. Once this is done, you simply attach your file after you have picked your specification through ‘Instant Quote/ Buy Now’.
