The answer to these questions will help you decide on the location of your advertising. There’s little point advertising on motorway billboards if your target audience doesn’t drive. Also consider backgrounds and other advertising in the area. Is it likely to detract from yours? If your ideal site is already being used, it might well be worth waiting until it’s free.

Think value – not just cost

Of course, your budget is important. But think in terms of value rather than the initial cost of your campaign. Ask yourself how many people are likely to see your advertising and compare this with other marketing methods.
